Environmental quality :
This was what attracted us to this place from the beginning !
We therefore tried to respect the environment when we undertook the renovations.
Our ideas and choices took shape with the precious help of our architect Alain Combet, who has unfortunately passed away, but with whom we developped an extraordinary friendship and complicity over the years.
One example is our water supply in case of fire, which is in the shape and form of a biological swimming pond.
On a daily basis:
We gather rainwater from the roof as was done in the olden days, to be used for the garden, the workshop and the toilets. The central heating is supplied by a boiler which uses wood granules. We are also equipped with two types of solar panels; the first type heats the tap water and the second produces electricity.
Let us not forget the efforts of our four legged friends, Kangoo and Medes, who produce a considerable amount of energy, while allowing us to work in harmony with the environment just like in bygone days.
